Meet Sunny Ray Hipple

Founder, Creative Director, Lead Designer of Sun Hip Studio

Sun Hip Studio is led by Sunny Ray Hipple, a Louisville-based creative director and designer with over fifteen years of experience shaping brands, spaces, and visual systems that are meant to be felt.

Sunny’s work lives at the intersection of strategy and intuition. Her approach combines thoughtful brand foundations with editorial design sensibility to create work that is both grounded and expressive. Her background spans enterprise technology, hospitality, real estate development, and nonprofit work, with clients ranging from Silicon Valley–based technology companies to local founders.

Rather than chasing trends, Sunny focuses on building brand systems with longevity. Her work reflects who a business truly is while supporting where it is headed next. Each project is approached with care and collaboration, ensuring the final result feels considered, authentic, and aligned.

In addition to her design practice, Sunny is also an abstract artist. Her intuitive painting work informs her design process and brings a heightened sensitivity to color, composition, and emotional resonance. This dual practice allows her to approach branding as an experience rather than a surface-level visual exercise.

Sunny brings a calm, consultative presence to every project, partnering closely with clients to translate vision into elevated, strategic work that strengthens brand presence and creates lasting impact.

As featured in Canvas Rebel — Sunny shares her creative path, studio philosophy, and what it means to build work with intention.
